ThromboLUX—For Research Use
ThromboLUX® relies on the principle of dynamic light scattering to determine the size distribution and content of microparticles and platelets in a platelet sample. It is a quick and easy test to evaluate the composition of platelet samples and provide information about microparticles. Traditional research methods of testing platelet samples are complex, time consuming, require many reagents and sample manipulations. ThromboLUX uses a non-invasive, easy-to-use optical test requiring only 100uL of sample, without the need for dilution or the addition of any reagents.
ThromboLUX can be used with platelets in plasma or platelet additive solution at any stage of the platelet product lifecycle; such as research on donor testing using platelet rich plasma, to product processing and improvements. ThromboLUX can also be used for research into platelet substitutes and platelet derived products such as frozen platelets, cold liquid-stored platelets and lyophilized platelets.
