Parameter Description
Photon rate (kHz)
The average photon rate (scattering intensity) during the test.
Blue peak radius (nm)
Peak radius at the rightmost population
Cyan peak radius (nm)
Peak radius of the Cyan distribution. The Cyan distribution may have multiple peaks, but this value will represent the one with maximum intensity.
Gated MP size (nm)
Calculation of the average radius within a window that represents microparticles. The window from 50nm to 550nm is used for Gated MP parameters. The average size is taken as the 50th percentile of the intensity within the window.
Gated PLT size (nm)
Calculation of the average radius within a window that represents platelets. The window from 550nm to infinity is used for Gated Platelet parameters. The average size is taken as the 50th percentile of the intensity within the window.
Gated MP intensity (%)
Calculation of percent intensity within a window that represents microparticles. The window from 50nm to 550nm is used for Gated microparticle parameters.
Gated PLT intensity (%)
Calculation of percent intensity within a window that represents platelets. The window from 550nm to infinity is used for Gated platelet parameters
MP Factor
An estimate of the relative concentration of microparticles to platelets based on the gated parameters. If a platelet count of the sample is available, then (MP Factor) x (Platelet count) gives an approximate microparticle count.
ThromboLUX Score
A holistic indicator of platelet quality on a scale of 0–40
