## ThromboSight^{TM} — Analysis Software

ThromboSight^{TM} is a tool to view and analyze ThromboLUX test results on a computer. It is a lightweight program that generates a spreadsheet and a set of Result Screens from the test data downloaded from a ThromboLUX Console. The Result Screens include the same information that is shown on the ThromboLUX screen upon completion of each test. Each row in the spreadsheet contains data from one test, including size distribution parameters for microparticles and ThromboLUX Score. ThromboSight is a useful tool for compiling results from studies and aggregating data for statistical analysis.

A typical Result Screen from the ThromboSight analysis software is as follows:

The average photon rate (scattering intensity) during the test. |

Blue peak radius (nm) |
Peak radius at the rightmost population |

Cyan peak radius (nm) |
Peak radius of the Cyan distribution. The Cyan distribution may have multiple peaks, but this value will represent the one with maximum intensity. |

Gated MP size (nm) |
Calculation of the average radius within a window that represents microparticles. The window from 50nm to 550nm is used for Gated MP parameters. The average size is taken as the 50th percentile of the intensity within the window. |

Gated PLT size (nm) |
Calculation of the average radius within a window that represents platelets. The window from 550nm to infinity is used for Gated Platelet parameters. The average size is taken as the 50th percentile of the intensity within the window. |

Gated MP intensity (%) |
Calculation of percent intensity within a window that represents microparticles. The window from 50nm to 550nm is used for Gated microparticle parameters. |

Gated PLT intensity (%) |
Calculation of percent intensity within a window that represents platelets. The window from 550nm to infinity is used for Gated platelet parameters |

MP Factor |
An estimate of the relative concentration of microparticles to platelets based on the gated parameters. If a platelet count of the sample is available, then (MP Factor) x (Platelet count) gives an approximate microparticle count. |

ThromboLUX Score |
A holistic indicator of platelet quality on a scale of 0–40 |

The polydispersity analysis algorithm separates two populations from each size distribution. The size distribution shows the histogram of radii from smallest particles on the left and largest particles on the right. The peak with the largest mean radius is coloured blue and all smaller peaks are coloured cyan. Thus, in a sample containing microparticles and platelets, the microparticle peak would be coloured cyan and the platelet peak would be coloured blue.

The spreadsheet includes four separate sheets:
